Hi, I am Peter Davidson, owner, guide and chef of Port on a Plate.
Originally from New Zealand, I have lived in Far North Queensland for the last 25 years. Fishing is one of my greatest passions. I learned to fish from an early age and cooked everything I would catch.
I started my working life as a qualified chef and later became a dive instructor (following the fish). In recent years I have been a tour guide in the Daintree, enjoying meeting people from all over the world and all walks of life.
The Port Douglas and Daintree region is awesome for so many reasons and I would like to show you why.
The Port on a Plate food tour is designed to introduce you to local farms and hear stories from the farmers themselves. Taste local delights, feed fish, sip exotic fruit wines. And to finish, I will cook you a pretty tasty Barramundi lunch followed by dessert.
